After spending several hours in Gaza, Guterres called on Israel to lift the blockade that's been in place around the Palestinian enclave for a decade now.

None of this is likely to affect U.N. voting patterns, which regularly condemn Israel's settlement construction and 50-year occupation of the West Bank, said Jonathan Rynhold, a researcher at the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar-Ilan University near Tel Aviv.

"All of the quotes attributed to the Secretary-General are fabricated".

Tehran, he said, "is building sites to produce precision-guided missiles towards that end in both Syria and in Lebanon. As someone who cares so much about both countries, it's great to see the leaders of both countries getting along so well".

Pallywood is an important part of the propaganda war on Israel.

But since his election, President Donald Trump has broken with the policies of his predecessors and refused to endorse the two-state solution.

He said that this success stems from the "enormous contribution of the Jewish people" to culture, science, philosophy and civilisation.

The resolution was meant to diffuse an intra-Palestinian conflict which flared when Hamas took over Gaza in 2007.

Dozens of people also demonstrated as Guterres's convoy crossed the border with Israel into Gaza, calling for action in support of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel.

Greenblatt also said that during his tour to the region, he "learned a great deal about the difficult challenges facing the IDF, Israelis living in surrounding areas and the Palestinians living in Gaza as a result of Hamas' mismanagement of humanitarian aid and its commitment to terrorist violence".

Calling the request a "fantastic example of solidarity, of humanity, of tolerance", Guterres paid tribute to the "voices of these true peacemakers".

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is visiting Turkey and is not expected to meet Guterres during the trip.

Although he lashed out at the U.N. Tuesday for an "absurd obsession with Israel", Netanyahu told Guterres a day earlier that he expects to open a "new page" with the organization.

But the pilgrimage to Arafat's tomb was not improvised; it was as carefully scripted as any other official gesture. In the future, some rooms in the mansion could be used by the library, he said. Last week, Israel's ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, criticized the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon, the UN body tasked with implementing the ceasefire, for failing to act against Hezbollah in the south of the country. Breitbart Jerusalem recently reported on a Fatah summer camp for children named after Dalal Mughrabi, who led the 1978 Coastal Road massacre in which 38 people - including 13 children - were murdered. In the same year, the movement of Israeli goods into Gaza through the Kerem Shalom boder crossing increased by 13 percent to 175,000 trucks and peaked at an average of 890 trucks daily throughout the month of October. "What I find totally baffling is the view of the UNIFIL commander General Beary", Haley told reporters, accusing him of ignoring Hezbollah's arms dumps. They're not on edge.
