There's no specific timeline for how long it will take St-Pierre to recover from his bout with colitis, but it sounds like the UFC is expecting him to be out for a little while as he gets treatment.
Well, since St-Pierre choked out Bisping last month to become the champ, he's reported he had issues maintaining weight, leading up to UFC 217. "He's too small. Guys like me would feast on Georges".
Still, Woodley wanted the fight so much that he recently considered surrendering his own UFC championship to move up to 185-pounds in hopes that he could finally lure St-Pierre into facing him. "I want to fight Georges (St-Pierre), and he's not fighting me at my weight, so I'll come up and see you there". Just move along and let us handle our business here.
"I thought [GSP] would potentially lose, yes", Rockhold said. I want to be in the Octagon and I want to fight.
"There's been talks all along the way, potential this, potential that", Rockhold explained. He got his belt and will now likely shift his focus to other things, perhaps back in the welterweight division.
Would you be interested in a middleweight showdown between welterweight greats Tyron Woodley and Georges St-Pierre? I'd be seeking the fight, I'm not seeking the fight because that's not realistic.
"Last week I came to grips, I may never fight Georges St-Pierre", Woodley said.
